Planning Appeals

All appeals are determined by the Planning Inspectorate, who may direct which type of appeal route is to be followed. Some appeals are dealt with purely by way of written representations and our planning consultants have a successful track record.
Other appeals are conducted by way of an informal hearing (where we have the opportunity to present your case orally in a round table discussion with the Planning Inspector, local planning authority and any interested third parties) or public inquiry.

Depending upon the nature of the appeal our team includes planning solicitors who can represent you – whether this is at an informal hearing or a public inquiry requiring advocacy and cross-examination.

Whatever the appeal route, we continue working towards achieving your goals and negotiating with the local planning authority to achieve a solution where that is a possibility.
