Not all development requires a full planning application to be submitted.
Lawful Development and Prior Approval
Whether it is a lawful use or development, existing or proposed, our team keep up-to-date with the constant changes to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 (as amended) and are experts in the provision of time constraints relating to structures and uses. This means that we are well positioned to advise if a planning application is required or whether an application for a certificate is more appropriate.
We have also taken advantage of permitted development to change commercial premises into new homes, by serving notice for prior approval to a local planning authority. The process is intended to release more buildings and create more homes, we can advise on the criteria that need to be satisfied.
